Welcome to our Site! Welcome to our new blog & website, the one and only home of all things Ella Blue!  We're so excited to share this amazing collaboration with you all.  After many long hours of mind-melting over hot mugs of coffee, our ideas and inner voices have finally materialized into an amazing website & blog combination that truly represents who we are as a boutique photography company.  Our hope is that this won't simply be a place for people to come and look at photos, but a place where you can experience the things that drive us to create.  So please, enjoy some of our favorite songs, get to know us, and share in some of the most impressionable moments in people's lives.

We're not certain whether this is a maternity shoot or just a good ol' fashioned portrait session...you decide.

This is the summer I never want to let go of. Sunday mornings we hike down to my family's cabin, spend the day fishing, grill up the day's catch for dinner and talk about how blessed we are to have a place to come to that's full of laughter, relaxation and comfort. As summer ends, we want to hold onto this place a little tighter, we're not ready to leave it.

This is how we spend our Sundays together...

August 30, Weddings
We drove down a long, winding dirt road to find Melody's cabin on a crisp Saturday morning. It was perched beautifully on the edge of Port Gamble Bay and there was a light breeze while we stood outside for a moment. The day was going to be a whirlwind for Melody and Adam and for us, it was the most anticipated wedding of the summer.

The amount of time and attention Melody put into every detail of the day amazed us. We loved everything about their wedding from the classic ceremony at St. Paul's Church to the relaxed, backyard reception overlooking the Hood Canal.

its so natural, the light the colors, beautiful!!

Sharla's smile is the light in every room.  Tyler looks at her like he sees her soul.  They are high school sweethearts who come from loving and supportive families.  They adore children, and crack subtle smiles when they think about starting a family.  These two have a rare appreciation for life's simpler things, like long road-trips on Tyler's Harley Davidson Road King Classic (one of my personal favorites), and adorning their walls with antique framed wedding photographs :)

Their beautiful wedding was held at St. Paul's Church in Port Gamble...one of our favorite places!  It was built in 1869, has eight cathedral stained glass windows, and the original pews.  The sun was shining, Sharla was stunning, and Tyler shed a tear as she walked down the aisle.
